PROGRAM OVERVIEW
The SIF 2025 Nurse/Technologist Symposium is designed to provide attendees with a foundation to incorporate new technology into his/her nursing practice, to utilize current clinical diagnostic information and to assess and prioritize patients’ treatment needs.
OBJECTIVES
- Define early symptoms of a myocardial infarction and delineate between STEMI versus non-STEMI on ECG
- Define emerging treatment and therapies for patients in cardiogenic shock from STEMI
- Review post-operative management for structural heart patients (early detection of complications and how to treat various complications should they occur)
- Review and apply bedside management for acute, decompensated heart failure based on the prevailing guideline-directed care
- Describe the emerging role of GLP-1 agonists and its impact on cardiovascular health
